Why Dice?

Firstly, every roll of the dice is unique, as is every piece of furniture created. Every tree produces timber with its own features and intricacies. However, making furniture is using the materials you have in the most inventive and effective ways to create fully formed, intentional pieces - far from the luck of a dice roll. I love that meeting of uncontrolled precision.

Secondly, All Caps Studio designs will also try and incorporate a sense of fun and play into how the pieces are made, seen and used.

The dice bring together the balance of chance and process, as well as demonstrating the fun had throughout the piece’s long life. Everyone who buys a piece from the studio will receive their own set of dice made from their offcuts.
